I Like My Whisky The Way I Like My Men TASTE

Whisky Review: Forager Whisky

I ‘pick’ you… 🌿🍃🌾🍂

I think Halloween is cancelled this year 👻 and I’m not too sad about it. After spending many years as a bartender, I’ve dressed up like everything from Kim K to PB+J.

Needless to say I’m happy to have a relaxing night in this year (and to be honest I’m feeling super rundown this week).

For my final Canadian Whisky feature I ‘picked’ Forager Whisky (pun intended). This new release from Forty Creek is definitely “Quirky and Unconventional”.

If you’re a fan of lighter styles of blended whisky and gin, and like to cocktail with whisky, this may be the whisky for you.

Made with a young whisky, this expression is infused with Canadian wild-sourced botanicals including things like juniper berries, spruce tips, mugwort, labrador tea, and sweet fern.

TL;DR — Forager reminds me of: White Vanilla Grapefruit Tea ☕️🌸

My Revised Brown Derby Recipe:

2.0 oz @foragerwhisky
1.0 oz Grapefruit Juice
0.5 oz Lemon Juice
0.75 oz Earl Grey Tea Syrup

Throw all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and double strain into a coupe or on the rocks.

If you haven’t been following along, this is part of the series “I Like My Whisky the Way I Like My Men…” where I ‘swipe right’ on different whiskies and give you an easy-to-understand review of the experience. This month is all about Canadian whiskies.
